Luno Pte Ltd (Luno) in partnership with Taxi Media Group (Pty) Ltd T/A Hubble (Hubble) have agreed to run a competition where passengers in selected Uber vehicles may answer a quiz using a Hubble device for a chance to win a share of R10 000 in Bitcoin (the Competition). 


The following rules (the Rules) apply to your participation in the Competition:

  1. If a winner does not respond within 5 days of receiving this email, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.

  2. Entering the Competition: To enter the Competition, you must answer all quiz questions correctly and you must provide us with your name and email address. You will receive an email from Hubble confirming your entry. To stand a chance of winning the Competition, you must meet the eligibility criteria set out below. 

  3. Eligibility criteria and exclusions: Participation in the competition is limited to South African residents and is aimed at new Luno customers only. You must be 18 years or older and otherwise meet the account eligibility criteria set out in section 3 of Luno’s Terms of Use. You will be excluded from the competition if (i) you are an existing Luno customer and have made a transaction prior to entering the competition; (ii) you are a resident of the United States of America or (iii) you enter using fake or fraudulent details.

  4. Agreement to these Rules: Without limiting the applicability of Luno’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to customers who sign up, you agree to be bound by these Rules when participating in the Competition. You represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept any decision made by Luno in terms of these Rules as final and binding.

  5. Using your personal information: By entering the Competition, you agree to provide Hubble with your name and email address, to receive a confirmation email from Hubble, to the sharing of your personal information with Luno and otherwise to the use of your personal data for the purposes set out in these Rules. Hubble will not use your personal information for any purpose other than the Competition and shall, upon completion of the Competition, destroy your personal information. Any personal information provided to Luno for purposes of the Competition will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy

  6. Competition close: The Competition closes on 31 August 2019 11:59pm.

  7. Selecting winners: Luno will select 10 winners randomly based on the number of entries received. Duplicate entries from the same person will be treated as a single entry.

  8. Winners may be announced across any of Luno and/or Hubble’s social media pages including Facebook and Twitter. If you are selected as a winner, you agree to Luno publishing your name in this manner.

  9. Contacting a winner: Luno will contact winners by email within 5 (five) business days of our selection. Luno is not liable for any winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk email or other reasons. If a winner cannot be contacted within this period, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Should you be drawn as a winner, you must have created or must create a Luno account and verify their identity in order to claim the prize. Should you be drawn as a winner, you’ll also be required to complete a competition release form so that we can arrange delivery of your prize to you. If a winner’s identity or Luno account cannot be properly verified, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. 

  10. The prize: Each winner will receive R1000 of Bitcoin, which will be paid into the winner’s Luno wallet. Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be refunded, and cannot be exchanged for cash or another product. 

  11. Announcing the winner: Winners, along with their winning entry, may be announced across any of Luno and/or Hubble’s social media pages including Facebook and Twitter. If you are selected as a winner, you agree to Luno publishing your name in this manner. 

  12. Luno employees: Employees of Luno or any of its subsidiaries are not eligible to enter this Competition. 

Governing law: These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law and any disputes arising from the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
